Divorce Break Up and Beyond

Nurturing Your Self Esteem

filed in Self Esteem on Apr 1, 2007

Have you sat home on a Saturday night feeling bad about yourself because you do not have a date, or have you recently been rejected by somone you have been dating?  Is you self esteem taking a nose dive?  We live in an age where there is such a focus on the external instead of the internal.   Its hard not to pick up a magazine without an article that talks about “improving your looks”, or “finding the perfect relationship”.  But having self esteem is more than getting the man or the new make over.  Developing real self worth means honoring yourself and loving yourself with all of your imperfections.   It is about giving yourself respest, generority, and compassion.  It is about seeing your strengths and qualities.  It is a journey to know and appreciate yourself better.  Even more it is about trusting what your own heart is telling you and knowing that you are whole and perfect just as you are.  There is nothing you have to fix or achieve in order to feel your divine perfection.

Comments:

Hi, I like your message but you need to remove the ad in the right hand column...secret divorce planning. It is very upsetting and really low ball. It doesn't fit in with what seems to be your message. Certainly a different advertiser can be found to replace it...it's awful.
