Checking In With Your Mind

It is important on a daily basis to check in with yourself.   Take a moment to ask yourself these few questions. 

Am I obsessing and ruminating over past events?

Is my mind flooded with thoughts of self doubt?

Am I acknowledging my efforts and my strengths?

Am I comparing myself to others feeling less than?

Am  I visualizing what I want in my life?

Am I focus on the moment and feeling grateful for what I have?

Is my mind fearing the future and worry about events that have not happened?

Once we draw attention to what is presently happening in our mind, we can check in with the kind of thoughts we are having.   Then if necessary,we can immediately shift to a more positive thought.   Pause throughout your day as you standing in line at the grocery store, stop at a traffic light, sitting down for dinner or another time where there is a pause in your day. IReplace a negative thought with a more positive thought.  If you cannot think of anything positive at the moment, just think about once thing you are grateful for that occured in your day.    A clear mind with positive thoughts is available to you one moment at a time.
