Leftover turnkey, lelfover feelings

How did you do on thanksgiving day? During the day did you find yourself, obsessing and ruminating over past events? Were you comparing yourself to your “ex” wondering what he/she was doing? Did those ugly thoughts of self doubt come up? Did you care-take everyone and not leave anytime for yourself? Be aware that now you might have some leftover feelings that were triggered by the holiday. It is not unusual, in fact it is quite normal. Holidays do bring up feelings. It is part of the grieving process. So, stop now, look inside and listen.
Journal your feelings, talk to a friend, do some exercise. But do not stuff them,like you did your turkey. You may feel abandoned by your “ex” but don’t abandon yourself. This is the work.and how you will heal your self-esteem.
